Plastic Bank Business Reference Guide
Updated October 2024
WELCOME TO PLASTIC BANK
You made a great decision to join forces with Plastic Bank Recycling Corporation (“Plastic Bank”), a social enterprise with the goal of ending poverty and pollution with one transformative idea: plastic as money. Our membership programs allow businesses to take responsibility for their plastic footprint and share their commitment to sustainability with their customers.
This Business Reference Guide is designed to work hand in hand with the Sustainability Advisor Program Agreement (“Agreement”) you’ll agree to when applying to become a Sales Advisor. These two documents serve as the cornerstone of our program. This Business Reference Guide focuses on compensation. Here’s how it works.
I. THE SALES ADVISOR MODEL | INTRODUCE PLASTIC BANK TO OTHERS
You earn income by selling Plastic Bank Products. The most profitable sales are direct sales local and regional businesses that place their online orders using your unique order link applicable to our membership subscription products ordered through the Plastic Bank website.
You have a lot of freedom when it comes to building your business. Aside from casting a wide net with your direct sales (Tier 1), you may expand your business by recruiting others to share in the Plastic Bank opportunity (Sponsor). In this role of a Tier 1 Sales Advisor + Sponsor, you may earn a monthly commission on your own sales as well as that based on the downline sales of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 sales Advisors you bring into Plastic Bank.
Let’s take a closer look at how the plan works.
II. THE COMMISSION PLAN
HOW YOU EARN INCOME
The Compensation Plan rewards you for selling Plastic Bank Products and for helping other Sales Advisors you register do the same. Each Sales Advisor is an independent businessperson, whose individual success depends on their own selling efforts and the selling efforts of those they register.
Commission is paid on Customer Transactions. These transactions and earned commission payments are also tracked and visible through the sales advisor platform.
New Customer sales including upsell – paid on recurring monthly billings for the first 18 months from contract initiation:
- Tier 1 Advisor earns 10%.
- Tier 2 Advisor earns 2% of Tier 1’s recurring monthly billings.
- Tier 3 Advisor earns 1% of Tier 1’s recurring monthly billings.
Recurring monthly billings including upsell >18 month from contract initiation so long as the Tier 1 selling Advisor remains in Active Advisor Status:
- Tier 1 Advisor earns 5%.
- Tier 2 Advisor earns 1% of Tier 1’s recurring monthly billings
- Tier 3 Advisor earns 0.5% of Tier 1’s recurring monthly billings
HOW AND WHEN YOU GET PAID
Commission payments on Customer Transactions are processed once a month for the prior month, i.e. commission shall be paid by May 31 for Customer Transactions closed by April 30. Payments shall be made through PayPal and paid in local currency.
Additional payment options (including, but not limited to, electronic payments whether directly or via a 3rd-party provider) may be added at any time. Should this occur, a notice will be sent via email with details and instructions for enrollment. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your payment information is current and correct. Digital payments through PayPal that are sent to a valid email address cannot be reversed or retransmitted for any reason. It is imperative that you establish a valid PayPal account and email for transmittals. Additionally, digital payments may be subject to total dollar amount limits as imposed by the payment provider, and if that limit should be exceeded, you will receive as many separate payments as necessary to reach the full amount earned in the given payment period.
